Your haberdashery in Malaga

A few years have passed since Juan and María Rosa in 1993 gained courage and with great enthusiasm decided to set up one of those lifelong businesses: a neighborhood haberdashery store.

And not in any neighborhood, nothing more and nothing less than in Huelin, the most seafaring neighborhood in Malaga.

A humble neighborhood with hard-working people where there have always been many professionals dedicated to sewing and a lot of love for textile work and crafts.

Before opening Mercería Cañamazo, Juan worked all his life in clothing, just like María Rosa although, as happened then, when her children came along she became a housewife and continued to cultivate her passion for sewing as a hobby. In fact, María Rosa comes from a family where all the women have always had a great vocation for sewing and clothing.

From the first day, they went out of their way to care for their clients, serving them with kindness and attention until they reluctantly retired. 

From parents passed to children, as should always happen with lifelong businesses and currently if you stop by the haberdashery, you will find their eldest son David and his partner Nuria who have known how to continue the business, offering their clients the same attention and good work that Juan and María Rosa offered.

Two generations at the service of Malaga, proud to have customers throughout the province and even from other Andalusian cities and even Melilla who always highlight the wide assortment, quality and price offered by this haberdashery that has already become a little piece of the history of Huelin.
